There’s a lot to be said for solutions that shift paradigms, make waves and transform businesses. See what's buzzing at Infosapp.

Infosapp goes tableless

News >>

Infosapp has gone completely tableless - our website that is. We still use tables in our office so you will still get a table to place your documents or laptop on.The version 2 of our website uses css for the entire layout. The site was coded in XHTML with Web standards and validates XHTML 1.0 Transitional. The presentation layer is handled by CSS. The separation of structure and presentation has a huge advanrage and is of great importance to the whole Infosapp team. Did we we mention that we threw in a new logo too? Yes we did. Actually it's a modified version of our current logo. It expresses our philosophy - the three most important business growth aspects: reaching prospects, converting those prospects into customers and retaining those customers.

Here's a a good website to learn CSS http://www.csszengarden.com/ and a good CSS book: "The CSS Anthology" from Sitepoint - it has good reviews too. "Cascading Style Sheets The Definitive Guide" by Eric Meyer is another good reading.

Now the numbers:

  • 3 - the number of versions of the new infosapp.com before selecting the golden design.
  • 60 - number of bottles of coca cola consumed while creating the new site. (More than half of that was consumed by our lead developer, alone. )
  • 6568 - lines of code and css written to program the new website
  • 1200 - number of mouse clicks in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to design the interface for the new infosapp.com
